The Municipality of JBAIL-BYBLOS saw the need for a renovation project using sandstone to cover the commercial stores’ facades, which will support the youth and encourage them to work in Jbail. Besides promoting trade, Byblos was once known for this profession, which will help revive the economy and attract investors to the city. The municipality was inspired by the city’s history and culture to make it stand out, while preserving its spirit and its past in a glamorized condition and at the same time preserving its history. The project was divided into three phases: firstly, rehabilitation of the street from the Serail to the Port’s junction; secondly, the street from the Serail to central Jbail; and thirdly, the entire Roman Road.
