THE MEDIEVAL CITY WALL

In Lebanon, the city wall of Jbeil is the only medieval city wall that is still preserved almost in its entirety. It is the most important means of protection used for many millennia. It is, in fact, a high, thick wall with numerous columns that encircles the city to protect it from outside attacks. The city wall has several large doors with access to the city, in addition to smaller and more discreet ones that allow an entrance to the city as well.
